You do not have to empty the whole fridge to clean it. Our crews work one section at a time: take that section out, clean it, and put everything back where it was. The fridge never sits empty, and nothing ends up in the wrong place. Here is how to do the same at home.
How to clean inside a fridge, one section at a time
- Pick a starting point. Top shelf first, so drips fall onto shelves you have not cleaned yet.
- Empty just that section. Set the items on the counter. Toss anything expired while it is in your hand.
- Clean the shelf, the walls behind it and the door bin next to it. Warm water with a little dish soap and a soft cloth handles most spills. Pull out removable shelves and drawers for sticky spots.
- Dry it, then put everything back where it was.
- Move to the next section and repeat, ending with the crisper drawers.
- Finish with the door seals and handles, then the outside.
When we clean inside the fridge
- Deep cleans: inside the fridge is an add-on you pick when you book.
- Move-in and move-out cleans: it is included, with the inside of every appliance.
- Regular visits: the crew wipes the outside of the fridge and every other appliance.
Either way, you do not need to empty it before the crew arrives.
