When Trades Wrap Up

The last thing before the
client handoff.

Trades finish. The punch list closes. Dust is still everywhere. It's in the HVAC returns. It's on top of the crown molding. There's a fleck of joint compound on the inside of every glass shower door and a strip of blue tape fused to the edge of every window frame. The homeowner is scheduled to walk in 48 hours. The finish trim looks beautiful and nobody can see it under the haze.

We run the final clean. Drywall dust pulled off every surface including the ones nobody remembers exist. Paint flecks scraped from hardwood, tile, and glass. What does a post-construction clean include?

Can you do a rough clean mid-build?

Yes. Rough cleans happen after framing and drywall but before trim and paint. We sweep and vacuum the site and wipe primary surfaces so trim carpenters and painters aren't working through dust. Usually runs same-day.

How long does a final clean take?

A 3,000 sq ft new build final clean takes a team of three between 10 and 14 hours. We typically split it across two days so the fine dust has time to settle overnight before we do the final pass. Custom homes over 5,000 sq ft can run three days.

Do you do touch-up cleans after punch list?

Yes. After the punch list is closed out and trades leave their final dust, we come back for a touch-up pass. This is usually a half-day job, focused on surfaces that were re-handled, and gets the home ready for the client's final inspection.

Do you remove construction debris?

No. We do not haul construction debris (drywall scraps, lumber, sheet stock, packaging). We work around remaining debris and focus on the cleaning scope: dust, paint flecks, sticker and film removal, surface detail. Plan to have debris removal handled by your crew or dumpster service before our final clean.
